Golden Bear Acquires El Dorado Physical Therapy, Promotes David Thomas to Clinic Director

Golden Bear Therapy Partners has added the well-established group of California clinics to their extensive network.

(El Dorado Hills, California) – Golden Bear Therapy Partners has added El Dorado Physical Therapy to their rapidly expanding network of physical therapy brands. El Dorado’s highly trained team offers treatment at four locations in Northern California and will serve as a strong addition to Golden Bear’s Sacramento market.

Golden Bear Chief Development Officer Brandon Ziemann commented, “We were ecstatic that Dave [Thomas] picked Golden Bear to continue on the legacy of El Dorado PT. Dave shares the same values as Golden Bear and has a tremendous reputation within the Sacramento market. The partnership together has been built on the mindset of ‘stronger together.’”

Distinguished physical therapist David Thomas has practiced at El Dorado PT for over 23 years, now serving as the group’s Clinic Director and Owner. With this new partnership, Thomas and the Golden Bear team can focus on growth opportunities for the clinic professionals and continue providing best-in-class services to their patients.

“When evaluating becoming a partner with Golden Bear Therapy Partners, it was of the utmost importance to work with a team of professionals that understood our culture, our community involvement and offered opportunities for all of our team members to grow personally and professionally,” said Thomas. “Golden Bear checked all the boxes and continues to support our goals and values.”

El Dorado PT will continue providing rehabilitation services at their clinic locations in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Shingle Springs. The clinics offer programs in physical therapy, sports therapy, aquatic therapy, and more, with the new option of receiving virtual TelePT care online.
