What is Women’s Health Physical Therapy?

We are excited to announce several Women’s Health Services and Pelvic floor rehabilitation services at Bodycentral Physical Therapy. First of all, we have expanded our Women’s Health Division. We are providing the following treatment and services at all of our locations. We work hard to schedule evaluations quickly, with minimal wait time.

Incontinence- urinary and fecal

Pelvic Pain- women and men

Saddle pain and numbness- often seen with high level cyclists

Pregnancy related pain- back pain, neck pain, hand and foot pain

Rehabilitation after gynecological and urological surgery

Sacroiliac Pain and Instability

Dypareunia (pain with sexual intercourse)

Shoulder pain and limitation s/p mastectomy with and without lymphedema

Cancer related rehabilitation services

With the expansion of programming, we have added three additional Physical Therapists to the team:

Melissa Buss, PT,DPT,WCS,CLT- Dr. Buss is a Board Certified Women’s Health Specialist and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She comes to us from the University of Pittsburgh and brings great talent and experience to our practice.

Jessica Thomas, PT,DPT- Dr. Thomas is a Physical Therapist with special training in Hands-on Manual therapy and is pursuing excellence in Women’s Health treatment.

Katie Sandvig,PT,DPT- Dr. Sandvig is a Physical Therapist with concentrating training and interest in the rehabilitation of the spine and pelvis, and Women’s Health treatment.

Tonya Bunner,PT,DPT,WCS,OCS,BCB-PMD- Dr. Bunner is a Board Certified Specialist in Women’s Health, Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, and is Board Certified in Biofeedback for Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction. She is a co-founder of Bodycentral Physical therapy and leads our Women’s Health clinical team.
