Falls and fear of falling in our senior population are recognized public health crises.
According to the CDC, falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in older adults by a wide margin. Each year, more than two million seniors experience a fall severe enough to necessitate emergency medical treatment. This number along with the associated personal and societal costs of falling is expected to rise as our population ages. Despite these grim statistics, many falls are preventable with professional interventions that address the causes of falling in older adults.
Our expert clinicians are trained in evidence-based interventions that are proven by controlled clinical trials to effectively reduce the number of falls in older adults.
There are other factors that also contribute to falls. Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, vestibular disorders, and neuropathy also increase fall risk. Our therapy team is well equipped to address the problems of falling and the fear of falling in individuals living with these conditions.

I’ve been at golden bear since March. I’m fully done with therapy the whole staff helped me to get back on track with my sport.They understand and take things slow with you and help you get fully back from injury.The best staff especially Sujay and Amber and of course the rest of the staff their.

The staff is amazing! I was there for almost a year and they made me feel welcome every day I was there. My PT’s are very knowledgeable and answered any questions or concerns I had. They helped me reach my goals. The most important goal was walking on my own again and they made it happen! I will forever be grateful with everything they did for me because I truly could have not done it without their help. Thank you so much Sanjay, Amber, and others who worked with me. =) Definitely recommend them!!

All though I'm just starting out in my physical therapy journey, I gotta say, this place is great. From first walking in and being greeted with a friendly receptionist, to meeting my therapist Matt. Matt is very knowledgeable and answers any questions I have and I am pleased to have him. All the other staff members are friendly and have your best interest at heart. This facility has the most caring PT's as well as assistants. Yolanda at the front desk was a delight. Assistants Jessica and Saul were a joy to work with...always caring about my well being and occasionally had opportunity to chat with. Thank you both. Amber and Matt, my PT's, were phenomenal. Because of them, I hit my goals and recovered quickly after my knee surgery. This facility is a total team, all working together for the greater good of their patients. Everyone always asked if I had any questions. Oh and by the way, I am am amputee. I was very unsure when first going there. But quickly, I felt at ease.....why you ask....BECAUSE OF THE WONDERFUL STAFF...a big thank you....to all of you. I will miss seeing all of you. Diane Oneal

Hey, if you wanna feel safe and in good hands, you are most safe here. I had a phantom knife stabbing pain in my mid thigh. After just one visit, I was 60% better. After 3 visits, I don’t feel that anymore. I felt no humiliation or intimidation. I never felt like I was under pressure at all. They were more concerned for my continued well being than I know they are for this review. Now I go from thinking I’m just getting old without anything to do to taking what they taught me and sustaining my attitude of my life.

As to the employees of Golden Bear, they are the nicest, most considerate people i have ever met, in the medical business. It is personal. Your goals are their goals and they will help you push through the hardest parts,. It won't be easy, the first couple.of times, but it gets easier after that. I highly recommend Golden Bear. Special thank you to Matt. I am already noticeably stronger. Thank you for taking the time to customize my therapy, so I have optimal results.

Great team from Matthew, Amber on down. Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Punctual and precise. Went from a knee with little cartilage that I could barely walk on to being able to walk on it. At 73 it saved my ability to continue self-sufficiency! Thanks to all!!
