Corey's inspiration to provide greater care for patients comes from her belief that patients need guidance with steady hands to heal themselves following an injury or surgical intervention. Through her work, she is able to provide those hands and promote wellness and improved function for every patient.
Corey has been a licensed therapist since 1998 in outpatient Orthopedic Therapy. Greater Therapy Centers has been lucky to have Corey on our team since 2006! Before starting with GTC, Corey held several positions in the DFW area including the Physical Therapy Director for Dr. Tompkins, Orthopedic Surgeon at St. Paul Hospital Dallas.
At Healthsouth in South Dallas, Corey provided outpatient orthopedic services and developed a successful rehabilitative aquatic program. Currently, she works closely with Drs. Prager and Whittenburg in Arlington to provide patients with the best possible care. She specializes in extremity rehabilitation, especially for shoulder and knee problems, Temporomandibular Joint disorder (TMJ), and sports injuries.
Corey holds an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification and is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certified Clinical Instructor. She enjoys teaching physical therapy students in the clinic so she can expand the knowledge base of future physical therapists. She has been a member of APTA since 1996 in the Orthopedic Section, AAOMPT, and TPTA. She has completed continuing education in myofascial release, cervical, lumbar, hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle rehabilitation.
In her spare time, Corey enjoys experiencing all aspects of life, especially if it involves nature. She strives to grow as many vegetables as she can in her garden, but at times must leave to travel to as many places as she possibly can.
