Falls and fear of falling in our senior population are recognized public health crises.
According to the CDC, falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in older adults by a wide margin. Each year, more than two million seniors experience a fall severe enough to necessitate emergency medical treatment. This number along with the associated personal and societal costs of falling is expected to rise as our population ages. Despite these grim statistics, many falls are preventable with professional interventions that address the causes of falling in older adults.
Our expert clinicians are trained in evidence-based interventions that are proven by controlled clinical trials to effectively reduce the number of falls in older adults.
There are other factors that also contribute to falls. Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, vestibular disorders, and neuropathy also increase fall risk. Our therapy team is well equipped to address the problems of falling and the fear of falling in individuals living with these conditions.
It was my first day but I have to say I was impressed by both the professionalism and the friendliness of all the staff i met. Robert who was the P.T. was not in a rush, but kept things moving. He asked questions and explained everything he was doing and wanted me to do. I felt confident I was in good hands. Looking forward to my next visit.
My Physical Therapist is very knowledgeable of the human body and takes time ti listen to the client to develop the best course of action to remedy each ailment. She takes great effort in muscular stimulation for faster healing of wounds from surgery. Im very happy with my progress.
I love Body and Balance. I was referred by many people in the Solano County Community Awareness Facebook page. Evan is awesome. The entire office staff are caring and helpful.
Kaylee did a great job. She explained everything clearly and made sure that I understood everything before I left. I look forward to working with Kaylee to rehab my shoulder and arm.
I feel safe at Body in Balance in regards to their practices with covid-19 safeguards. Due to pain, I have deep tissue massages with Dianna who does a great job. In the Fairfield facility, the temperature and atmosphere is really relaxing. The only thing I wish they had are longer massage beds. I'm only 5'3" and my feet hang off the bed. Other than that, the massage is excellent and the price is right.
The physical therapists are great to work with. They support you through your entire visit. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.
Kaylee very good listener and showed me different types exercises to strengthen my
Knee and leg thank you for helping me to make it little better🌻.
Excellent, compassionate individuals. I’m learning how to work various, specific muscles etc to heal my foot and ankle.
Entire staff are very friendly, thorough and professional. Would recommend to family and friends
I had come in for lower back pain, Evan and his staff did an amazing job of giving me treatment, but also making the office feel very warm and inviting. All of the staff that assisted in my rehab were all helpful and knowledgeable, taking very good care of me. I would not call the treatment easy, but the instructions given and understandable take home diagrams aided in recovery. Although I have no plans of getting injured again, if I do I definitely know the place I’ll be going to for recovery.
