Falls and fear of falling in our senior population are recognized public health crises.
According to the CDC, falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in older adults by a wide margin. Each year, more than two million seniors experience a fall severe enough to necessitate emergency medical treatment. This number along with the associated personal and societal costs of falling is expected to rise as our population ages. Despite these grim statistics, many falls are preventable with professional interventions that address the causes of falling in older adults.
Our expert clinicians are trained in evidence-based interventions that are proven by controlled clinical trials to effectively reduce the number of falls in older adults.
There are other factors that also contribute to falls. Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, vestibular disorders, and neuropathy also increase fall risk. Our therapy team is well equipped to address the problems of falling and the fear of falling in individuals living with these conditions.
I have had a great experience at Body in Balance! From the front desk to the DPT, Eddy, and all of the PTA’s, they’ve all been knowledgeable, compassionate and accommodating. I truly appreciate the care and patience they’ve all taken with me.
Eddy is exceptional at her job! She does great body work and always finds ways to educate me about the how’s and whys. I really don’t think I would be improving so quickly from a broken hip and broken shoulder without her and the rest of the staff!

Body in Balance is the best physical therapy I’ve experienced. You actually see the physical therapist at every visit. Edy is the best, she is so knowledgeable and compassionate. Any other therapist I have seen has been great also but Edy is my go to. I highly recommend anyone needing physical therapy to go to Body in Balance for great care and customer service.

Robin gives the best massage I have ever had. I travel a lot and have had massages in China, Singapore, Germany, and 5 different states. She always asks me what to concentrate on and then she makes sure to hit those areas the most. She is very nurturing in her touch and applies the correct pressure. The massage is always relaxing and I always feel comfortable. After the massage I always feel better than when I came in. I highly recommend Robin, you will not be disappointed
