Sandy has practiced Physical Therapy for over 35 years. She began her career in acute care and home care, and spent the last 30 years working in outpatient orthopedics. Her continuing education has led her to an eclectic approach to patient care with a focus on manual therapy and return to function through progressive exercise programs.
Since joining the GTC team in 2003, Sandy has served as Clinic Director of three locations, and helped open two of those clinics too! She has worked as a liaison to hospitals, Joint Commission preparedness and compliance, software trainer, chart auditing, and assisting with overall operations. Today, she serves as GTC's Regional Manager for the 10 clinics in our Central Region. Sandy is also a member of the APTA / TPTA.
Sandy shares, "I have been blessed to have had a long career in physical therapy watching the field grow and change over the years. What remains is the ever-present need for continued guidance of patients in recovery from illness, injury, and surgery to obtain optimal functional outcomes. Although I have less direct patient care, I now am able to help mold and shape our younger therapists in this ever-changing healthcare world. It is said that, ‘What you don’t use, you lose.’ I do think many of the ills we face today are affected by our lifestyle choices. I try to have and encourage others to have an active and healthy lifestyle."
Sandy loves to travel, exercise, stay involved with her church, and spend time with her family..., especially her grandson!
