(Modesto, California) – Golden Bear Therapy Partners has announced the addition of Dr. Melissa Buss as the company’s Director of Residency, Fellowship, and Clinical Education. Buss is a valuable addition to the team, as the company focuses on creating internal growth opportunities and promoting education.
Dr. Buss has a longstanding passion for education and helped in the development of three residencies during her time at BodyCentral Physical Therapy. Two of these residencies; Sports and Pelvic Health, achieved accreditation from the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education.
Golden Bear’s Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Jennifer Allen commented, "Dr. Melissa Buss has been instrumental in bringing formalized residency and fellowship education to the BodyCentral PT brand in past years. Her new role will expand those programs across the family of brands in the Golden Bear Therapy Partners platform which will provide a rich learning and growth culture for clinicians. Dr. Buss is an innovative leader, mentor, and colleague and we are excited to have her on the team.”
Currently, Buss and Golden Bear are undergoing the accreditation process for an Upper Extremity Athlete Fellowship, and the Orthopedic Residency Program as well as building teams of professionals to develop additional programs across GB’s partner brands.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with more experts across the GBTP platform to create excellent educational programs to encourage continued growth and advancement in our profession,” said Buss. “In addition to R&F development, there is a great team of people who are creating a Newer Graduate Mentorship program to help the next generation of PTs in their transition from school to work. This will truly set our company apart from others and I am thankful for the hard work of so many to get this program up and running.”
