Jean Forbis, OTR, CHT, joined the Greater Therapy Centers team at our Rockwall, TX location in the Summer of 2024. Jean is an Occupational Therapist and a Certified Hand Therapist. She is a graduate of Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX.

To obtain the CHT credential, a hand therapist must practice for a minimum of three years, accumulating at least 4,000 hours of treatment for hand and upper extremity disorders. CHTs must also pass a rigorous certification exam to demonstrate their competency and every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.

Over the course of her career, Jean has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. She specializes in custom orthotic fabrication. She works with patients recovering from trauma, crush injuries, fractures of the elbow, wrist, and digits, flexor tendon lacerations, Extensor tendon lacerations, Nerve lacerations, Amputations, Joint replacements, Repetitive strains, Nerve compression, and more.
